Keto grocery list: Content creator Petrus Albertus van Tonder
I am going through my keto recipe book and looking for a list of items I can buy that most recipes would use. I also Google each ingredient, for example, “Is feta cheese keto friendly”. If it is a yes, I list it here. If you do not agree with me, please tell me in a comment.
Reading food labels
It is always recommended to read food labels before buying any product. Here is a good video from Dr. Eric Berg about peanut butter.
I bought this peanut butter and was happy with the ingredients as it only contains peanuts:
Dry ingredients:
- Unsweetened, full-fat coconut milk
- Chia seeds
- Erythritol sweetener
- Ground black pepper
- Heavy cream
- Erythritol sweetener
- Coconut flour
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Arrowroot powder
- Garlic powder
- Sugar-free chocolate chips
- MCT oil
- Cocoa powder
- Dijon mustard
- Almond butter
- Paprika
- Curry powder
- Tahini
Staple/standard ingredients I always have available:
- Eggs
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Avocados
- Cheddar cheese
