Keto egg bites recipe. Here is a recipe for my keto-friendly egg bites. Keto Egg Bites are delicious, nutritious, and low on carbs.
Ingredients:
- 12 eggs
- third cup heavy cream
- half a teaspoon of dry mustard powder
- black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or herbs
- chopped ham
- shredded cheddar or parmesan cheese
- green onions
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees F)
Combine the eggs, heavy cream, dry mustard powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
Whisk until well mixed.
Spray a 12-capacity muffin tin with extra virgin olive oil. You can see that I used paper cups, but that is not a good idea as the egg bites stick to the paper cups. Divide the cheese, chopped ham, and onions over the wells and sprinkle with the herbs you have chosen.
Pour the egg mixture over the top.
Bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes or until set.
Notes for Keto egg bites recipe:
Baked egg bites can be frozen. You can place the egg bites on a cookie sheet in the freezer for one to two hours until frozen. Then you can transfer them to a freezer bag. Frozen egg bites will stay good for up to two months.
To reheat the egg bites, let them thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Then just reheat it in the morning in the microwave for about 60 seconds.
This recipe is very versatile and not boring because there are many additional and substitute ingredients. As long as the ingredients are keto-friendly for example, bacon, sausage, shrimp, mixed greens, turmeric, etc.
