How to grow brain cells

how to grow brain cells

How to grow brain cells. New studies have found that people can make fresh brain cells, unlike studies in the past that failed. Brain cells regenerate throughout your entire life, neurogenesis, the formation of brain cells, happens every day.

I find this video from Dr. Eric Berg so valuable because it combines so many of the topics he discusses into this one.

The best ways to improve and increase the size of your brain:

Choose the ones that best suites you.

1. Exercise

Regular consistent exercise like aerobic exercise, long walks, hiking, high intensity, etc is the most important thing you can do.

2. Do intermittent fasting and periodic prolonged fasting

Two meals a day, or even one meal a day. Don’t snack in between meals. Dr. Eric Berg has a lot of videos on this topic.

3. Do cold therapy

A very potent stimulus of neurogenesis. Taking an ice bath or cold shower.

4. Consume cod liver oil

Omega 3 in cod liver oil. Heated oil such as cooking oil (vegetable oils) is very bad for your brain. Coconut oil, lard, or butter is much better to cook your food in.

5. Get on a low-carb diet (Healthy Keto)

Ketones are the fuel to feed the neurons, not sugar. Lower carbs and the body will naturally generate ketones.

6. Do heat therapy

Sauna or hot shower but cold therapy is much more beneficial.

7. Consume vitamin B1

A vitamin B1 deficiency develops a condition called Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, a neurological disorder caused by the lack of thiamine (vitamin B1), and inflammation in the brain.

8. Consume probiotics

It helps your body to digest food. Sauerkraut is a great source of probiotics.

9. Get plenty of sunlight (infrared light and vitamin D)

Increase melatonin (the most powerful antioxidant) that acts as an antioxidant to support your brain.

10. Consume plant-based phytonutrients

Turmeric, green tea, dark green leafy vegetables (such as spinach, kale, bok choy, broccoli, Swiss chard, and romaine lettuce), garlic, onions, chives, leeks, etc.

11. Consume foods high in choline

Egg yolks, organ meats, and fish.

12. Consume grass-fed animal products

Grass-fed meat instead of grain-fed.

13. Get sufficient sleep

Get good quality sleep.

14. Drink coffee

NOT too much coffee!

15. Consume zinc to grow brain cells.

Zinc deficiency causes neurodegenerative and cognitive decline disorders, such as decreased neurogenesis and impaired learning and memory.
